Privacy and house rules
What we store
- When you vote without an account: your answer, the club you picked, a random ID kept in a cookie on your device, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address used only to stop spam.
- When you sign up: your email address, username, club, flair, whether you want our emails, and your password stored as a salted hash we can't read.
- When you comment: the comment, the time, and your username, club and flair shown next to it.
What we use it for
- Running your account and showing how each fanbase voted. Totals are shown as percentages; individual votes are never published.
- Emailing you about your account, for example a password reset.
- Emailing you about new hubs and features only if you ticked the box. You can untick it on your account page at any time.
We don't sell your data or share your email with anyone.
Cookies
Two cookies, both needed for the site to work: one remembers your device's votes, the other keeps you logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Deleting your account
Delete it yourself from your account page. Your email, password and profile are erased for good. Your votes stay in the totals without anything linking them to you, and your comments stay but show as [deleted].
House rules
- Argue about the decision, not the person. Saying a call was wrong is fine. Saying a referee is corrupt, bent or paid off is not allowed.
- No abuse. No slurs, no racism, no threats, no wishing harm on anyone.
- No links or spam.
- One account each. Club changes are limited to once a week so each fanbase's numbers stay honest.
Some of this is blocked automatically. Anyone can report a comment; reported comments are hidden until we review them, and we remove accounts that keep breaking the rules.
