What happened
On the opening night of the season, Marcos Senesi appeared to deliberately bat the ball away as Hugo Ekitiké was about to run through on goal. Anthony Taylor gave nothing, and VAR ruled it was not a clear handball or denial of a goalscoring opportunity. The KMI panel later called it an error. Liverpool won 4-2 anyway.
